Lynn Classical was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from third to first in Cape Ann/Northeastern - Division 1. Earlier in the week, the Rams defeated Gloucester 22-20.
Lynn Classical extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Fishermen, 22-20. The victory was the fourth in a row for Matt Durgin's team.
Masconomet Regional's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Chieftains feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Chris Schleer has thrown for 212 yards and three touchdowns this season, while Troy Bunker has seven catches for 92 yards. Mike Tivinis leads the league in rushing with 330 yards.
A big matchup in Cape Ann/Northeastern - Division 1 this week will be when Revere takes on Lynn English. As it stands, the Patriots are in second, while the Bulldogs are in fourth.
The Rams and Gloucester played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with the Rams eventually emerging with a 22-20 victory.
