Basketball Recap: Morris' Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Four

With a playoff win on the line, Morris rose to the challenge on Monday. Everything went their way against the Bloomington Purple Raiders as they made off with a 56-33 victory. The Redskins have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 contests by 23 points or more this season.

Despite the defeat, Bloomington had strong showings from Lauren Shuey, who posted 13 points, and Tina Lenard, who put up ten points and five boards. What's more, Shuey also posted a 67% field goal percentage, which is the highest she's achieved since back in December of 2024. Ella Moody also deserves some recognition as she scored her first points of the season.

The win was the fourth in a row for Morris, bringing their record for this year to 26-5. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.5 points over those games. As for Bloomington, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-12.

As of now, neither Morris nor Bloomington have any future games scheduled.
