The West Nassau Warriors's five-game losing streak came to an end on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Baldwin 65-32 at home. West Nassau's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
West Nassau got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Abagail Bailey out in front who scored 19 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Bailey has scored at least 25% of West Nassau's points. Mariah Coleman was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
West Nassau's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-5. As for Baldwin, they bumped their record down to 2-7 with that loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
West Nassau won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against KIPP Bold City at 6:00 p.m. on December 19th. KIPP Bold City comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. Baldwin won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Baker County at 7:30 p.m. on December 19th. Baker County knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Baldwin likes a good challenge.
