The Summit Christian Academy Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the St. Michael the Archangel Guardians at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Summit Christian Academy stacked a 13th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Lone Jack 78-40 on the road. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 40-19.
Summit Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kash Pritchard, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. Max Rieger was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven assists and five rebounds.
Meanwhile, St. Michael the Archangel didn't have too much trouble with St. Pius X on the road on Monday as they won 67-52. The win made it back-to-back wins for St. Michael the Archangel.
Summit Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. As for St. Michael the Archangel, their victory bumped their record up to 12-8.
Summit Christian Academy was able to grind out a solid win over St. Michael the Archangel in their previous matchup back in January, winning 52-45. The rematch might be a little tougher for Summit Christian Academy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
