After three games on the road, Montgomery Central is heading back home. They will take on The Station Camp Bison at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Montgomery Central will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 282nd, while Station Camp is ranked 114th).
Two weeks ago, Montgomery Central had to suffer through a rough 58-6 loss at the hands of Marshall County. Montgomery Central was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-0.
Station Camp fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Creek Wood 43-9 at home.
Luke Dickens looked great while leading his team to the win, rushing for 89 yards and three touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Robert Bogus, who rushed for 104 yards on only nine carries.
Montgomery Central's loss was their seventh straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-8. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 5-3 Fairview and 5-3 White House (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 60.7% over those games). Station Camp is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 3-5 record this season.
