The Bear Grass Charter Bears will head out on the road to face off against the North Duplin Rebels at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Bear Grass Charter focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Tuesday.
Bear Grass Charter has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 23 points or more this season. They were the clear victor by a 52-26 margin over Bethel Christian Academy. The victory was just what Bear Grass Charter needed coming off of a 64-42 defeat in their prior contest.
Bear Grass Charter got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Aubrey Dotson out in front who scored 10 points along with 4 steals. Dotson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now stole two or more in the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Carolina Harrell, who scored 8 points along with 4 steals.
Meanwhile, North Duplin waltzed into Wednesday's match with two straight wins but they left with three. They blew past Lejeune, posting a 68-26 victory on the road.
The losses dropped Bear Grass Charter to 4-2 and Bethel Christian Academy to 0-3.
Bear Grass Charter suffered a grim 65-40 defeat to North Duplin in their previous meeting back in January. Can Bear Grass Charter avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
