The Guardian Christian Academy Royal Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell 58-45 to Grace Christian School. Guardian Christian Academy has not had much luck with Grace Christian School recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Guardian Christian Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aidan Watkins, who scored 18 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Watkins has scored all season. Carl Walls was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Guardian Christian Academy has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season. As for Grace Christian School, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Guardian Christian Academy will take on Veritas School at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Grace Christian School, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Williamsburg Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m.
