The Sarasota Sailors entered their tilt with the Bradenton Christian Panthers with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Sarasota blew past Bradenton Christian 65-33 at home. That's another feather in the cap for Sarasota, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Sofi Miller was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds. Miller is absolutely dominating the block category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Kennedy McClain, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Sarasota's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Bradenton Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sarasota will challenge Lakewood at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Lakewood is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 64 points per game. As for Bradenton Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Port Charlotte at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
