The Boone Grove Wolves can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They came out on top against River Forest by a score of 39-30. That's another feather in the cap for Boone Grove, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Elaina Schreiner was the offensive standout of the game as she scored 14 points along with eight rebounds. The game was her third in a row with at least ten points. Drew Jeffries was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Boone Grove's victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-15. As for River Forest, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 6-11.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Calumet New Tech the next time they take the court. River Forest will host Calumet New Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Boone Grove will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
