The Triplains/Brewster Titans's five-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Heartland Christian as Triplains/Brewster made off with a 52-26 victory. That 26 points margin sets a new team best for Triplains/Brewster this season.
Triplains/Brewster's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ben Peterson led the charge by scoring 14 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Peterson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Zerr, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Triplains/Brewster's win bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Heartland Christian, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-1.
Triplains/Brewster will head out on the road to take on Golden Plains at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Kansas (Golden Plains is ranked 331st, while Triplains/Brewster is ranked 336th). As for Heartland Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Weskan at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
