Bennington is on a 13-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Norris is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Bennington Badgers will take on the Norris Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Friday, Bennington was fully in charge, breezing past Crete 65-7 at home. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 51-7.
Quinton Archer continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 75 yards and three touchdowns. Peyton Sanmann was another key contributor, rushing for 80 yards on only six carries.
Meanwhile, Norris took their contest on the road on Friday with ease, bagging a 50-14 victory over Northwest.
Blake Macklin was his usual excellent self, rushing for 234 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 13.8 yards per carry. Macklin was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 64 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Holt, who rushed for 32 yards and two touchdowns.
Bennington's win bumped their record up to 10-0. As for Norris, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
Bennington strolled past Norris in their previous meeting back in September of 2021 by a score of 35-20. Does Bennington have another victory up their sleeve, or will Norris turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
