Spring Grove hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as York Suburban struck out six times.
Meanwhile, Kennard-Dale entered their tilt with Trinity on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Shamrocks.
Taryn Ashenfelter spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on five hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season.
