Even though the Kentwood Conquerors scored an imposing 60 points on Friday, the Tahoma Bears still came out on top. Tahoma snuck past Kentwood with a 64-60 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for Tahoma.
Tahoma got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Dalton Brown out in front who scored 19 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Brown has scored at least 25% of Tahoma's points. Another player making a difference was Jayden Stephens, who scored 14 points.
Tahoma now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Kentwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-1.
Tahoma will be playing in front of their home fans against Pacifica Christian/Orange County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Pacifica Christian/Orange County is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games. As for Kentwood, they will head out on the road to face off against Mt. Rainier at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Mt. Rainier will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while Kentwood is ranked 14th).
