Mesa hasn't had much luck against Mountain View recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Jackrabbits will look to defend their home field against the Toros at 3:45 p.m. Mesa has given up an average of 15.4 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Having struggled with six defeats in a row, Mesa turned things around against Westwood on Monday. They came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 21-16.

Brooklyn Isom
04/07/25 @ Westwood | 6 |
03/06/25 @ Valley Vista | 5 |
03/21/24 @ Camelback | 4 |

04/22/24 vs Skyline | 2 |
The team relied heavily on Brooklyn Isom, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three stolen bases, and five runs. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (six). Arianna Munoz was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4.
Mesa always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .587. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in five consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Mountain View had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Monday. They skirted past the Pumas 5-3.
Daniella Gloria spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on nine hits and racked up nine Ks.
At the plate, Kylynn Sylvester was excellent, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last five games she's played.
Mountain View's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-6. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Mesa, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-8.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Mesa hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Mountain View struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 1 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Mesa might still be hurting after the 20-1 loss they got from Mountain View in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Will the Jackrabbits have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other softball content.
