The Burbank Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their eighth straight loss. They were dealt a 74-32 defeat at the hands of Pasadena. Burbank was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-16.
When it comes to explaining why Burbank lost, one person who can't be blamed is Odartey Blankson. Despite the final result, he scored 17 points along with five rebounds. Blankson is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last six games he's played.
Burbank has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost 14 of their last 15 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-20 record this season. As for Pasadena, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-3.
Burbank will look to defend their home court on Friday against Crescenta Valley at 6:45 p.m. Crescenta Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 16 matchups -- so hopefully Burbank likes a good challenge. As for Pasadena, they will head out on the road to square off against Glendale at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Glendale will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 389th, while Pasadena is ranked 35th).
