High Point Baptist Academy is 8-2 against Christian School of York since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. High Point Baptist Academy saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reagan Wodicka, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That double marked the first that Wodicka has hit this season.
Christian School of York not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since March 14th (when they won 15-0). They blew past Lancaster Mennonite 15-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Christian School of York.
Benjamin Martin spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Austin Holbritter was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Chase Wentz was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Christian School of York kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
High Point Baptist Academy's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Christian School of York, their win bumped their record up to 11-4.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. High Point Baptist Academy has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.6 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Christian School of York struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.1 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
