Rancho Christian's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Vista del Lago 12-0. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Ravens: they've now won nine in a row.
Cody Horner made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Rancho Christian is undefeated when Horner posts three or more RBI, but 3-6 otherwise.

Meanwhile, Perris fell victim to Hillcrest and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Trojans, falling 14-0. The Panthers' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.
The win got Rancho Christian back to even at 6-6. As for Perris, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.
Perris' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Rancho Christian hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .338. It's a different story for Perris, though, as they've only averaged .209. Will they be able to contain Rancho Christian's hitters?
