Neville extended the longest winning streak in 4A District 2 this week by beating West Ouachita, 53-3. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.
Neville led the league in scoring this week after putting up 53 points on the Chiefs. John Diarse threw for 110 yards and three touchdowns and ran for five yards in the win.
Mickey Mccarty's team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground David Patrick chipped in 93 yards. Matthew Looney helped Neville's passing attack out by catching one ball for 49 yards.
Andre Fuller II was the best wideout in the league this week as the Tigers bested West Ouachita. Fuller II racked up two receptions for 65 yards.
Bastrop's Jaetarious Davis and Jatavious Wilson have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading 4A District 2 in both passing and receiving yards. Davis has thrown for 1351 yards this season, while Wilson, a 5-foot-7 receiver, has 40 catches for 719 yards. Diarse from Neville leads the league in rushing with 533 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Tigers take on Wossman. At the moment, Neville is in first, while the Wildcats are in fourth.
The Rams made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 1,407 from 2,662. The advance stemmed from a 48-22 victory over Carroll last week.
