Southside Christian strolled past Open Bible Christian with points to spare, taking the game 73-59. The victory was familiar territory for Southside Christian who now have three in a row.
Southside Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jon Jon Page, who scored 23 points. Page hasn't dropped below 15points for five straight games. LJ Boyd was another key contributor, scoring 19 points.
Southside Christian is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Open Bible Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southside Christian will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Victory Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 25th. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Nelson Palacios and Page. As for Open Bible Christian, they will head out on the road to challenge First Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
