Hayden Yelverton Goes Supernova in Community Christian Loss
Starting off the list is Community Christian's Hayden Yelverton, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Yelverton rushed for 255 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 11.1 yards per carry. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in August.
For the season, Yelverton has averaged 25.1 receiving yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after seven games last season, he had ten rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to 24.

Isaac Kelly was instrumental in extending West Texas T's winning streak to three on Friday. Nobody could stop Kelly as he rushed for 135 yards and four touchdowns on only eight carries, and also picked up 65 receiving yards and a touchdown. His longest reception was for an impressive 65 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per catch total.
West Texas T's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-3. Kelly and West Texas T will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Hart at 7:00 p.m.

Underclassman Tristan Knight Comes Up Big Against Big Springs Charter
While Saturday's win was certainly a team effort, someone pulling more than their own weight was underclassman Tristan Knight. Nobody could stop he on Saturday as he rushed for 157 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 76-yard run.
Big Springs Charter had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Knight it was a similar story. Knight rushed for 134 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries, and also picked up 91 receiving yards and a touchdown the last time he and the BSCS Hawks duked it out back in October of 2023.

Jace Little Makes It Two for Community Christian
The second Community Christian player making an appearance here is Jace Little, and for good reason. He rushed for 71 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, and also picked up 109 receiving yards.
This year, Little has thrown 5 touchdowns while averaging 41.1 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 17.43 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 100.14 rushing yards.

Big Game from Johnson As Panhandle Christian Home Educators Fell 58-19
Rounding off our Top Five is Landry Johnson of Panhandle Christian Home Educators. Johnson rushed for 116 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries.
Panhandle Christian Home Educators is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5. Johnson and Panhandle Christian Home Educators will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Kress at 7:30 p.m. on October 25th.
