Basketball Recap: Barrington Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

If Barrington was feeling good fresh off their 83-49 takedown of Smithfield last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Barrington Eagles lost to the La Salle Academy Rams on the road by a 77-59 margin on Thursday. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Barrington's loss came despite strong showings from Caleb Satisfield and Ryan Rigamonti. Satisfield posted 25 points, while Rigamonti had 21 points. With that strong performance, Satisfield is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game. Another player making a difference was Colin McDermott, who earned six points.

Barrington's defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-2. As for La Salle Academy, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Barrington will square off against Classical at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Classical is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64.2 points per game this season. As for La Salle Academy, they will take on South Kingstown at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. South Kingstown knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine games -- so hopefully La Salle Academy likes a good challenge.
