The Kit Carson Wildcats were the 51-44 winner over the Evangel Christian Academy Eagles when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Kit Carson took a 51-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. Kit Carson has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.
Despite the loss, Kit Carson still got an impressive performance from Payge Booker-rady, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 15 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Nadaya Buttry, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Kit Carson's loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 10-5. As for Evangel Christian Academy, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kit Carson will challenge the Cardinals at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully McClave focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 last Friday. As for Evangel Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
