The Lakeview Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 53-40 to Struthers. Lakeview was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
When it comes to explaining why Lakeview lost, one person who can't be blamed is Makenna Werner. Despite the final result, she scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Haynie, who scored eight points along with six rebounds.
Lakeview has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season. As for Struthers, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-13.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lakeview will take on the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hubbard is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Struthers, they will be playing at home against the Bulldogs at 6:15 p.m. on Monday.
