Colts Neck waltzed into their contest  on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Middletown South Eagles by a score of  4-1.  On the hitting side,  Gabby Bryce was  incredible,  firing off two  home runs, three  runs,  and three  RBI while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances. Those  two  home runs gave  her a new career-high.  Ava Burns was another key player,  going 1-for-2 with one  triple and one  run.
Colts Neck's victory was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 10-7. The  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Middletown South, their defeat  ended  a  four-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 13-4.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Colts Neck will venture away from home to  square off against Wall Township  at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday. As for Middletown South, they will challenge Howell at 10:00  a.m.  on Monday.
