Camden County walked away with a 57-49 win over Valdosta on Friday. For Camden County, this counts as revenge for the 77-62 loss Valdosta walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
Ja'Marley Riddle was his usual excellent self, scoring 11 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Antwann Brown, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds.
Camden County's win was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.3 points per game. As for Valdosta, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-5 record this season.
Camden County will head out on the road to face off against Raines at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Valdosta won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Lowndes at 7:30 p.m. on January 13th. Lowndes will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 294th, while Valdosta is ranked 59th).
