The Southeast of Saline Trojans put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They breezed by Ellsworth on the road to the tune of 30-0. The result was nothing new for Southeast of Saline, who have now won six games by 24 points or more so far this season.
Southeast of Saline's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Daniel Kejr, who threw for 181 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Southeast of Saline also got a significant boost from Nathan Friesen, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 80 yards.
Southeast of Saline's win was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-0. It's not like the team was facing easy opposition over that stretch either, as it included 7-1 Clay Center and 5-3 Hillsboro (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 78.1% over those games). As for Ellsworth, their loss ended a eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southeast of Saline will take on Chaparral at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Chaparral will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings (they are ranked 175th, while Southeast of Saline is ranked ninth). As for Ellsworth, they will be playing at home against Haven at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Nash Wray and Will Cravens.
