Ty Cummings' Rushing Yards a New Career-High
Starting off the list is West Laurens's Ty Cummings, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Cummings rushed for 280 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.0 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 54 yards.
The victory (which was West Laurens' third in a row) raised their record to 7-1. They and Westside are set to duel on Thursday.

Jim Franklin Turns in Season-Best Performance

Reante Byrd posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 268 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.9 yards per carry.
Hephzibah is on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7. Byrd and Hephzibah will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Cross Creek at 7:30 p.m. on November 5th.

On Friday, Aquinas had to settle for second even though Jack Rhodes put up the best numbers he has all season. Rhodes picked up 241 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
