Beecher has gone a perfect 5-0 against Wilmington recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Bobcats will host the Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. Beecher is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
On Wednesday, Beecher beat Illiana Christian 6-1.

Ava Lorenzatti spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Elena Kvasnicka, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted over her last ten contests.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Wilmington, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Coal City a 1-0 shutout on Tuesday. Those one runs were actually the fewest the Wildcats have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.
Not much got past Taryn Gilbert, who gave up just six hits to keep Coal City off the board.
On the hitting side, Wilmington saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Keeley Walsh, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.
Beecher's win was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-0. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 9.4 runs this season. As for Wilmington, their win bumped their record up to 13-4.
Wilmington's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. Beecher has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 10.6 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Wilmington, though, as they've been averaging only 3.1 strikeouts. Will Beecher keep running through batters, or will the Wildcats buck the trend?
Beecher was able to grind out a solid victory over Wilmington in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 6-2. Do the Bobcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
