Having just played yesterday, the Piper Bengals will jump right back in to play the North Miami Beach Chargers at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Piper is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
On Thursday, Piper came up short against Monsignor Pace and fell 42-34. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Piper has scored all season.
Meanwhile, North Miami Beach had to suffer through a rough 78-49 loss at the hands of Stranahan. While losing is never fun, North Miami Beach can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 325th, while Stranahan is ranked 70th).
North Miami Beach might have lost, but man, Jaycob Joseph was a machine: he scored 32 points. The match was Joseph's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Edgar Inoa was another key contributor, scoring four points along with five assists and three steals.
Piper's record now sits at 0-11. North Miami Beach's record now sits at 5-4.
