Jake Polacek made a splash while hitting and pitching. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 14 over five innings pitched. Those 14 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with one stolen base and one RBI.
In other batting news, Cedarcrest got a massive performance out of Braden Bottemiller, who got on base in four of his six plate appearances with five runs, two stolen bases, and four RBI. Those five runs gave Bottemiller a new career-high.
