They came out on top against Sherwood by a score of 56-47 on Tuesday. The score was all tied up 28-28 at the break, but Warsaw was the better team in the second half.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Warsaw to victory, but perhaps none more so than Logan Gemes, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Luke Henderson, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Aurora's win bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Warsaw, their win bumped their record up to 5-17.
Aurora skirted past Warsaw 63-60 in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Aurora since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
