Baseball Recap: Fasman Yeshiva Extends Winning Streak to Three

Fasman Yeshiva put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by a 15-1 margin over the Horizon Science Academy McKinley Park Hawks. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Fasman Yeshiva also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Yair Aberman looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Fasman Yeshiva got a massive performance out of Naftali Warso, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Warso is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Perl, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Fasman Yeshiva hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three batters every time they've taken the field this season.

Fasman Yeshiva pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average this season. As for Horizon Science Academy McKinley Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fasman Yeshiva will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Noble Street College Prep at 3:00 p.m. on the 25th. As for Horizon Science Academy McKinley Park, they will square off against Steinmetz College Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Silver Streaks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.29 runs per game on average), something the Hawks will no doubt try to take advantage of.
