Meanwhile, Freeman unfortunately witnessed the end of their 21-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of Tri County by a score of 3-2. While the Falcons didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Trojans 25-20 in the first set.
Freeman actually scored more points across those five sets (106-102), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-23, 25-17, 14-25, 18-16.
Mead's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-21. As for Freeman, their loss dropped their record down to 21-2.
