The Garinger Wildcats put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They really took it to West Mecklenburg for the full four quarters, racking up a 65-16 win at home. Considering Garinger has won five matchups by more than 34 points this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Garinger found their leader in underclassman Misa Garris, who scored 16 points along with 9 steals and 5 assists. The matchup was Garris' seventh in a row with at least ten points. Kim?mya Kelly was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Garinger has yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 7-0 record. As for West Mecklenburg, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Garinger will take on Butler at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Butler focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Saturday. West Mecklenburg won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Sugar Creek at 6:00 p.m. on December 6th. Sugar Creek comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 15 points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
