Despite the defeat, Shelter Island saw an underclassman step up: Evan Weslek scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Harrison Weslek, who scored six points.
Shelter Island bumped their record down to 0-6 with that defeat, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Bridgehampton, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shelter Island will square off against Ross at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Bridgehampton, they will head out on the road to take on Southold at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
