The Ropes Eagles will venture away from home to challenge the McCamey Badgers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ropes will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
Ropes' defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They breezed past Plains to the tune of 60-0. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won nine games by 30 points or more so far this season.

Jaivyth Cruz
| 11/07/25 @ Plains | 138 |
| 09/19/25 @ Olton | 112 |
| 10/17/25 @ Smyer | 97 |
| 09/26/25 vs Forsan | 86 |
| 10/24/25 vs Sundown | 71 |
Ropes relied on the efforts of Jaivyth Cruz, who rushed for 138 yards on only seven carries, and Zayden Pittman, who gained 85 total yards and three touchdowns. Those 138 rushing yards gave Cruz a new career-high.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Ropes was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 283 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 170 rushing yards in eight consecutive matchups.
Special teams also played a big role in the game for Ropes, adding 14 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Pittman, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.
Meanwhile, McCamey played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Eldorado 73-34. The Badgers were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.
Ropes will have to contain Trace McMurray as he made an impact in McCamey's last game. He rushed for 57 yards and a pair of TDs, and also threw for 181 yards and two touchdowns. McMurray's passing game has become a key predictor of McCamey's success: the team is 2-1 when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 1-6 otherwise. A healthy portion of McMurray's aerial production (89 yards to be exact) went to Braiiden Garcia Cox, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
McCamey's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-7. Those home defeats can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 27.0 points over those games. As for Ropes, their record is now 9-1.
Thursday's game might be decided on the ground. Ropes has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 268.5 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like McCamey struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 212.4 rushing yards. There's a good chance Thursday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Ropes took a serious blow against McCamey in their previous meeting back in November of 2021, falling 48-6. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
