After low-scoring totals in their previous seven contests, Dayton brought some dynamite into their most recent game. They blew past the Robertson County Black Devils 11-1 on Wednesday. The Greendevils not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since May 18, 2024.

Chad Nickell made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Nickell was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Elias Lopez, who scored two runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-3. Anthony Massey also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Dayton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Dayton's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-11. As for Robertson County, they dropped their record down to 1-12 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dayton will welcome Newport at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Robertson County, they will be playing at home against Calvary Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
