Baseball Recap: Leo Extends Winning Streak to Three

Leo barely beat Garrett the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Lions put the hurt on the Railroaders with a sharp 14-3 victory on Saturday. Considering the Lions have won ten matchups by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Dominic Rennecker was incredible, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Luke MacDonald, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Leo always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Garrett only posted an OBP of .423.

The win (which was Leo's third in a row) raised their record to 15-2. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Garrett, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-12.

Leo will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Railroaders: the pair will be back at it again later today.
