After three games on the road, Victory Christian is heading back home. They will take on the Appalachian Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
In what's become a running theme this season, Victory Christian gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They breezed by Ragland on the road to the tune of 63-15. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 46-4.
Amelia Haney and Haley Hendrix were among the main playmakers for Victory Christian as the former dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 steals and the latter dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. Hendrix has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last 17 times she's played. Addie Lee was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with five assists and four steals.
Meanwhile, Appalachian came tearing into Thursday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past Talladega County Central 49-22 at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Appalachian has posted since December 18, 2023.
Victory Christian pushed their record up to 15-6 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Appalachian, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
