The Brooklyn Tech Engineers entered their tilt with the Midwood Hornets with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Brooklyn Tech walked away with a 64-51 victory over Midwood on Wednesday. That's another feather in the cap for Brooklyn Tech, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Brooklyn Tech to victory, but perhaps none more so than Baseer Mirza, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds. Those 19 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Luke Opalack, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 15 rebounds.
Brooklyn Tech's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Midwood, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Westinghouse the next time they take the court. Midwood will host Westinghouse at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, while Brooklyn Tech will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
