The Warsaw Wildcats were the 54-47 winner over the Butler Bears when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Warsaw fell to Butler 54-49. Warsaw has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, Warsaw saw an underclassman step up: Tanna Howe scored 21 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Howe has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sara Miller, who scored five points along with two steals.
Warsaw has not been sharp recently as the team has lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season. As for Butler, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-13.
Warsaw will face off against Sherwood at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Warsaw is facing Sherwood at the right time seeing as Sherwood is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Butler, they will be playing at home against Oak Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Butler is coming into the match with three straight victories at home, so Oak Grove is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
