Chloe Thompson put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored 21 points along with five rebounds. That's the first time this season that she scored 15 or more points. McKinleigh Norwood was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven assists and four steals.
Even though they lost, Trinity Christian School of Griffin were working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Flint River Academy's victory ended a eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-0. As for Trinity Christian School of Griffin, their loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-6.
Everything came up roses for Flint River Academy against Trinity Christian School of Griffin in their previous meeting back in November of 2017 as the squad secured a 67-30 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Trinity Christian School of Griffin's Carley Deaton, who scored 17 points.
