The Rattan Rams will take on the Talihina Golden Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Talihina took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Rattan, who comes in off a win.
While Rattan's victory against Valliant wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Rams had just enough and edged out the Bulldogs 5-4. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Shade Cody was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one RBI.

In other pitching news, Mark Janoe looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since April 1st.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Ben Ellis, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Kobe Tabor, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
Rattan always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Talihina came up short against Caney on Monday, falling 10-2. The Golden Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Like Rattan, Talihina also got a great game from a two-way player: Cy Ammons. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. What's more, Ammons gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in March. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Ammons wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Nakaiah King, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.
Rattan's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Talihina, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-10.
Everything went Rattan's way against Talihina in their previous matchup back in March, as Rattan made off with a 7-0 victory. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Golden Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
