Softball Recap: Edna Karr's Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak on the Road

While Edna Karr put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for East Jefferson. The Cougars blew past the Warriors 22-0. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won eight matches by ten runs or more so far this season.

Ro'Lahn Scott made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those four runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Jaylnn Recasner was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Coi Jackson was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base.

Edna Karr always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .879. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Edna Karr's victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-11. As for East Jefferson, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

Edna Karr does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East Jefferson, they will square off against New Orleans Charter Science & Math at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
