Charlotte McGreevy made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 13 over seven innings pitched. Those 13 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one triple and one RBI. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.
In other batting news, Thea Laukka was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last eight times she's played. Maya Stone was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Meanwhile, Medomak Valley got themselves on the board against Morse on Monday, but Morse never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Shipbuilders with a sharp 17-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Shipbuilders: they've now won four in a row.
Like Camden Hills, Medomak Valley also got a great game from a two-way player: Sidney Nichols. She struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Nichols was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Peyton Eaton, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Grace Townsend, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Medomak Valley's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Camden Hills, their win bumped their record up to 9-3.
Camden Hills was able to grind out a solid victory over Medomak Valley in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 3-0. Do the Windjammers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
