Baseball Recap: Delavan Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Delavan entered their tilt with Peoria Christian on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Chargers by a score of 9-6. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Panthers also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

Kyi Westbrook was a standout: he scored a run while going 3-for-4. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. Braden Arrenholz was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-5.

Delavan always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .585. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Delavan's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Peoria Christian, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

As for Peoria Christian, they will host Monmouth United at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Monmouth United's pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so Peoria Christian's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
