Given Pratt's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 77th, while Nickerson is ranked 269th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Nickerson's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alex King, who scored eight points.
Pratt is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Nickerson, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.
