Deposit-Hancock's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Blake Fortunato, who scored 29 points along with three steals. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Fortunato has scored at least a third of Deposit-Hancock's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alejandro Gonzalez, who scored 15 points along with seven assists and six rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Deposit-Hancock and bumps their season record up to 8-4. As for Harpursville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Deposit-Hancock will challenge Walton at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Harpursville, they will head out on the road to square off against Susquehanna Valley at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
