In what's become a running theme this season, Sulphur Bluff gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Bloomburg 73-25 on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-9.
It was another big night for Matthew Overly, who scored 14 points along with eight assists and six steals. He hasn't dropped below two steals for 13 straight games. Clint Degen was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Yantis waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against Union Hill by a score of 57-50.
Brant Harville was the offensive standout of the contest as he scored 25 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Dunklin, who scored eight points.
Sulphur Bluff's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-9. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points per game. As for Yantis, their win bumped their record up to 14-6.
Sulphur Bluff skirted past Yantis 49-46 in their previous meeting on January 2nd. Will Sulphur Bluff repeat their success, or does Yantis have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
