Choudrant is 9-1 against Simsboro since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Aggies will look to defend their home field against the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Choudrant lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Quitman, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's contest. The Aggies blew past the Wolverines 13-2 on Friday.
Meanwhile, while Simsboro put up plenty of runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Downsville. The Tigers were the clear victors by an 18-0 margin over the Demons. The victory was familiar territory for the Tigers, who have now won five games in a row.
David Cedotal made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Cedotal was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBI.
In other batting news, Simsboro got a massive performance out of Braylon Gipson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI Gipson has posted since back in March of 2025. Another player making a difference was Chris Harrell, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Simsboro was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .600. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .316 or higher in four consecutive matchups.
The win got Choudrant back to even at 10-10. As for Simsboro, their victory bumped their record up to 16-6-1.
